Join us for a celebration of moving to mark the new pedestrian & cycling routes.


Build up your cycling confidence along the brand new Chapel Street cycle route, or get your bike fixed for free! There are loads of ways to get involved on the day:

  • Try out cargo & accessible bikes with Manchester Bikes
  • Join a guided bike ride with Bee Pedal Ready - book here (bring your own bike!)
  • Learn to fix your bike with Dr Bike – book here (select Services (Other) > Make Tracks Dr Bike Booking)
  • Join a walking tour with Jonathan Schofield – book here*

  • Get active and public travel advice from TfGM, and Walk Ride GM

Throughout the day, there’ll be pop up performances from Dhol Drummers, The Flat Iron Choir and Manchester School of Samba.

The area will also be brought to life with workshops and interactive activities:

  • Dance fitness workshop with Bhangracise
  • Line dancing with Red Rodeo Club
  • A roller disco with Roll’n’VibeMCR + DJ Meme Gold, with roller disco themed faux tattoos from House of Bodyart
  • Build an Earwig Hotel or make seed bombs with PLANT MCR
  • Puppy portraits with The PhoDOGrapher
  • Make your own badges with Salford Badge Club
  • Upcycling & Sustainability Art Market, soundtracked by a local musician
  • Tours of Sacred Trinity Church’s tower + a bellringing demonstration (as part of Sacred Trinity’s open day)

Plus live acoustic sets from three local artists in The Anglesey from 5.30pm - 8pm: Chia Kali, Holly Redford Jones and Romy Taylor

There'll also be pop up food and drink stalls available all day, with pastries and coffee from Brew'd and Spice & Grind; cakes from Big Bakes and delicious plant-based lunch options from Deli Lama Community Co op.
*all activities are free, except the walking tour which is a £3 donation to Sacred Trinity Church.
