Pilot programme supporting early-career grassroots music promoters with a tailored six-month development program, in collaboration with Factory Academy.

– Nikki Milla, Promoter Academy pilot participant 2026, Instant Noodles stageIn 2025 and 2026, we developed a new pilot programme, in collaboration with Factory Academy, offering the opportunity for 6 early-career promoters looking to deepen their knowledge and develop the confidence to make promotion in the music a sustainable career.
It offered space for promoters to sharpen their craft in producing exciting, innovative music events. Across six months, they explored the importance of collaboration, the power of branding, how to budget and secure funding and how to pitch and network with confidence. Two participants were selected to develop their ideas into a showcase at Sounds from the Other City 2026, which led to the The Terrarium, a multi sensory live performance space and Instant Noodles, a live hyper pop dance party, both staged at Islington Mill Gallery.
