Sidelines
A new music festival for Stockport, in collaboration with the minds behind Now Wave & Yes.
“It’s a brilliant concept with so much potential, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it evolves”
– Test Event attendeeIn Spring 2026, over two test events, Sidelines quietly took its first steps, testing programming ideas and audience demand for a new grassroots music festival, built around Stockport Town Centre and its myriad of independent businesses and grassroots venues.
From a sold-out first moment across 4 venues in the town to a second edition that spilled out across well-loved churches, galleries, record shops, pubs and bars. Phase 1 was about feeling things out, meeting people and seeing what this could become.
Over the course of 2026 and 2027, we will build on these foundations and expand partnerships, with the ambition of delivering a full one day festival in 2027 and beyond.
