TS Dæmon residency
A long-term partnership supporting radical queer artist TS Dæmon on an immersive theatre production merging music, innovative technology and performance
“All of this stuff that I — as a neurodivergent artist — really struggle with, Emma and the From The Other team have been amazing.”
– TS DæmonFor the past 18 months From the Other have been working with one of Scotland's most innovative queer artists TS DÆMON (FKA Shrek 666).
The partnership began through our residency programme where we supported TS DÆMON take on their most ambitious artwork to date. No Silence, No Saints was an immersive theatre production that merged live music, technology and radical queer performance art to create a multisensory, multi-narrative portrayal. At its core, the project was a collaborative space to amplify trans* voices—specifically those of trans* sex workers
Through residencies in Sheffield, Glasgow, Salford & Ynys Môn, TS Daemon, and with support from the Immersive Arts Fund, FTO has been working with TS DÆMON to develop their creative practice further. This development time and fundraising support has enabled exploration of 360-degree video, virtual reality, augmented reality, motion projections, live AV, songwriting, storytelling and so much more.
