We celebrate ambitious ideas and creative risk, whether that’s offering paid time and space for artists to develop work on our residency programmes or supporting selectors to showcase exciting new talent at our music festivals. Our expertise lies in merging high-art commissions with grassroots ethos, resulting in boundary-pushing work that achieves national and international visibility.
Since founding as a year-round organisation in 2023, we have developed work with some of the most exciting boundary-pushing artists in the UK, whilst continuing to foster the collaborative and community-centred ethos of alternative and DIY music culture. Sounds From The Other City, one of our flagship events, has been celebrated as one of the UK's leading independent festivals, offering a platform for diverse voices and transformative live experiences for the past 21 years.
Our projects connect partners from across the music industry, place-making, public sector and digital arts landscapes. Through these collaborations, we aim to create long-term benefits for everyone who co-creates with us, from artists to stakeholders.
